The Army has started a criminal investigation. The soldier who provided The Times with a series of 18 photos of soldiers posing with corpses did so on condition of anonymity. He served in Afghanistan with the 82nd Airborne's 4th Brigade Combat Team from Ft. Bragg, N.C. He said the photos point to a breakdown in leadership and discipline that he believed compromised the safety of the troops.
He expressed the hope that publication would help ensure that alleged security shortcomings at two U.S. bases in Afghanistan in 2010 were not repeated. The brigade, under new command but with some of the same paratroopers who served in 2010, began another tour in Afghanistan in February.
This looks really bad for Obama! can't blame Bushy for this one

The couple of pictures that I saw didn't look like they were posing with the dead bodies, so much as someone just snapped the pics while soldiers were near the body. The person taking the pictures could be trying to stir some shit.

They really don't think about that when they are snap snap snapping away. We had this discussion on the ride into work this morning. Most of the dumb shit soldiers get caught doing is because someone thought it would be cool to take a picture. If they left the camera in their pocket...they'd never get caught. |

If they left the camera in their pocket...they'd never get caught.
Well I'm lazy. With all that stuff I see them packing around, I'd be trying to lighten my load....camera would be one of the first things to go. |

Sorry, but this is TWO YEARS AGO. NOW this becomes an issue?
Sounds to me more like someone wants to piss on our troops more than take care of any disciplinary issues. Yeah, it's stupid, but hate to say it, it's nothing that hasn't happened in virtually every army in wars previous going back, oh, ****ing forever. Stand by for the religion of perpetual outrage to riot again.

If these are despicable muslim taliban or terrorists...sure send the heads home as trophies. Make a necklace of ears. Beat the living crap outa terrorist detainees.
We can play nice and these animals will still seek to kill us. Kill them, leave their naked bodies in embarrassing poses for their muslim buddies to find...just KILL them.

There was some ex-military guy on Fox News earlier who ripped Obama and everyone else up one side and down the other for throwing these guys under the bus. Everyone in the administration has outright condemned this without one shred of understanding what ten years of war has done to the troops.
