Yeah, I'm aware those exist, and that they're important to a significant number of people, although I don't know why. But for franksolich, the only sport is college football, and once it's done for the year, no more sports happen until the end of the following August. |

Same's true for me with golf, tennis, basketball and that silly thing they call arena-something-or-other. I wish I could figure out why racing that doesn't involve any right turns or hills could interest anybody. But that's just me.
NASCAR has some road courses - with right turns and hills and all at Infineon Raceway, Watkins Glen International, Road America and Circuit Gilles Villeneuve (Montreal). ......... But I have to admit that my interest has diminished somewhat since the old days when Allison, Earnhardt and Elliot ruled. |

The 'race on Sunday, sell on Monday' adage doesn't apply to NASCAR anymore. It's a shame, but I think that's mostly NASCAR's fault with their Car Of Tomorrow type racing than genuine stock car stuff.
I don't know if they still do this, but British Touring Car racing was real stock car stuff in the early 80's. It's all over YouTube.
