The records matched Greene's story that the 32-year-old candidate, who has been collecting unemployment benefits since he left the military in August, was able to afford the fee because he saved his money and lived frugally.

"He clearly does not have someone paying him. He just decided to take his money and run for U.S. Senate. There's no big conspiracy," Lloyd said.

That is gonna piss off the DUmpmonkiez.

Greene's victory has prompted a bevy of questions. Some accused Republicans of having a hand in the election, a charge GOP leaders have repeatedly brushed aside. A Washington-based watchdog group has also suggested that South Carolina's top prosecutor should look into whether someone gave money to Greene. Attorney General Henry McMaster, however, says his office has received no evidence supporting that claim.

Greene insists he's done nothing wrong and is staying in the race.

Multiple theories have surfaced about Greene's success, including the possibility that voters simply picked the first name on the ballot. they's too dumb to vote.

The state Democratic Party's executive committee has upheld Greene's victory, nixing a protest that could have required a new vote.

In addition to DeMint, Greene also faces anti-nuclear activist Tom Clements, a Green Party candidate, in the November election.

Greene vs a Green...

And I hear the DUmmie heads a-splodin all over tonight.

I'm sure Keef Olbertard and the rest of the idiots who accused him of being a GOP plant are going to be right up front in apologizing.

Yep...any minute now...

While I think Alvin Greene is clearly an idiot (And definitely in the right party for that), the Donks are sure taking a moral low-ground approach to find some way to screw him out of the fruits of a legitimate election which came out the way it did solely due to their own arrogant assumption that the party blessing to the annointed appointee was enough to get the nomination without doing any actual 'Work' for it (Again, following their natural bent).
