Frank, I believe everyone of us is Conservative until our wants and needs are at stake.
By coincidence, I am reading the biography of Lady Georgiana Spencer the G-G-G-G- Aunt of Diana Princess of Wales.
Seems like politics and society has not changed that much basically since the mid 1700.
As one old cranky Peer of the Realm said of society back then " Vice is tolerated in others as long as it is kept quiet ".
The libs. of that time did some good however as they no longer hang children for stealing a crust of bread.
