Rep. Murtha Dead at 77
Pennsylvania Democratic Rep. John Murtha, the first veteran of the Vietnam war and one of the most powerful lawmakers in Congress, died Wednesday morning at Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, VA, after complications from gallbladder surgery. This may be somewhat callous, but does anybody know Pennsylvania's procedures for replacing congressmen? I looked but couldn't find anything. I sure would like to know. These things come in three's... Robert Byrd better watch out. |

I think a special election has to be called. Appointments are for Senators. |

I don't think anyone will be claiming it's Murtha's seat since that did not work out too well the last time. May God have mercy on his worthless soul. |
