c brand (63 posts) Sat Feb-27-10 12:21 PM Original message Why is Obama so obsessed with what Republicans think? Perhaps because of racism? Edited on Sat Feb-27-10 12:22 PM by c brand It seems that Obama had a history of going out of his way to compromise and appease the white establishment, and now the Republicans. It is almost a pathological need. Is it because of his racial background and identity crisis? A clue to this is how he went way out of his way to make amends with the Cambridge white cop. White cops are good guys to (most of) white America. And Republicans love white cops. So Obama had to make a big statement to appease whites. But by doing so he really debased himself. His problem is not financial. He's set for life no matter what he does. His pursuit of approval from Republicans - who are 99.99% white - may have deeper psychological roots. The prep school, the Ivy League degrees. There is still that "affirmative-action" taint, maybe? Or is it because to him blacks and white liberals are a given - easy picking, low-hanging fruit if you will - and Republicans are what he needs to conquer in order to validate himself??? It's clear that contrary to what he says and denies, his actions reveal a disregard and contempt for progressive people, a neglect of the everyday needs of his working-class black constituents, and a pathological obsession with whatever little approval (white) Republicans might give him. http://www.democraticunde...l&address=389x7807517Has this DUmmie ever read any of the quotes from OBambi's books? Yes there is racism involved, he hates white people. From the same thread. Bluerthanblue (1000+ posts) Sat Feb-27-10 01:09 PM Response to Original message 21. maybe because he really understands he's President of the UNITED States of America. Because he takes this position seriously. Why did Pres. Lincoln work hard to avoid the Civil War? Why did he mourn the dead of both sides?
We must live together- or we WILL perish together.
President Obama is a wise, patient, leader. Something we haven't seen for awhile. Did this DUmmie type that without LOLling?

I bravely waded through this crap, but had to come to a complete stop with the primitive comment about the Republicans being "99.99% white." It's obvious where that information came from; the primitive didn't reach the commode soon enough.

Bullshit If they don't have the time they have no business being a parent in the first place. It is not the school's responsibility to raise your kids. Oh the irony!

Proud Navy Wife and Veteran But a constitution of government, once changed from freedom, can never be restored. Liberty once lost is lost forever. Wow, talk about having your head in the sand! I wonder if Dingbat Robb has ever noticed that "Name Removed" and "Deleted Sub-Thread" are such prevalent posters at the DUmp.

For a while there, BC's DUmp Diver software had 'em as the TOP posters at DU, right after AdBot, didn't it?
